Denim Lovers Week Two

We are back on the road again this week and this time we are hitting Selfridges in Manchester's Trafford Centre.  The last week has been fantastic and we have had so much fun customising denim.  I will update the blog later this week with snaps from the first fortnight.

If you would like to take part come and see us in the Trafford Centre on Thursday and Friday from 4-9pm.  All customisation is FREE with any denim purchase.

Bye Bye Mr Birds

Hi everyone hope you are all well.  I have been really busy over the last few weeks so apologies again for the lack of blogging.  

As you might have seen on my Facebook I have left Mr Birds Emporium as I am returning to University in September to start my PGCE.  I am still going to do the occasional fair when I can but for now all of my energy will be focused on my course so I have made the decision to sell mainly online at www.lauralovesboutique.com

I would like to thank everyone for their support whilst I have been at Mr Birds, I loved owning my own shop but I am now really excited to see what the next year has in store.

 Mr Birds is undergoing a makeover and will be reopening in the next few weeks, it will still be bring a fantastic selection of traders and goodies so please make sure you continue to support your local independent traders.

Over the last few months myself and  Lucy from Nothing New have been working hard on our RethinkRemakeRelove workshops.  We have met lots of lovely people who have attended workshops and joined us to make items using unwanted items.  We also expanded the workshops to add a fortnightly craft club which gave people the opportunity to catch up with other crafters to have a natter and get on with projects.

A few weeks ago we received an exciting phone call from Selfridges.  After pinching ourselves repeatedly things started to sink in... they wanted us to be part of their #denimlovers campaign! After numerous emails and meetings I am really pleased to tell you that RethinkRemakeRelove is on the move.  We are going to be working in Selfridges Birmingham and Selfridges Manchester over the next few weeks offering FREE denim customisation workshops.  When you purchase denim in the store you will have the opportunity to come and visit our stand and use the materials to personalise your clothing.

Our first workshops start this weekend in Selfridges in Birmingham and we would love to see some of you there.  I will update the blog soon with some pictures of the denim transformations that take place this weekend.

Mollie Makes!

Hi everyone hope you are all well.  I am so excited to tell you that myself and Lucy and our Rethink, Remake Relove workshops have been featured in the fabulous Mollie Makes magazine.  A few months ago we held a jumper skirt workshop and they have featured us in their magazine.  I am pleased that they decided to include us in their magazine.   

I have been a fan of the magazine since the very first issue.  If you haven't read it before it is fabulous it's full of ideas, stockists and stories about other craft businesses.
