Benefit Lollitint Review

A few weeks ago I decided to treat myself to one of Benefit's latest products, Lollitint.  I am a big fan of Benefits tints, before buying this one my favourite was their best selling Benetint which I use on a daily basis.

When I saw the new release I could not resist temptation, the colour is absolutely divine and I could not wait to get my hands on it!
When it finally arrived I was not disappointed, the candy orchid colour is simply beautiful and perfect for everyday use.  I adds a lovely pink natural glow to the cheeks and it has fantastic staying power.  I have applied this in the mornings and roughly 8-10 hours later I have not noticed any difference in colour from application.

The consistency of the product is much creamier than Benetint and I feel this makes it easier to apply.  The product dries quickly so after experimenting I find it easier to brush it gently onto a blusher brush and stipple it onto the skin.
Priced at £24.50 the tint is more expensive than some of the usual products I buy but a little really does go a long way.  Previous tints that I have bought have lasted for a long time and they are a staple part of my make up regime.  You can purchase it in lots of places including Boots, Debenhams and Benefit Stores or Online.

Next on my wish list from Benefit is the They're Real Mascara.  Have you got a favourite Benefit product or have you tried Lollitint?

Urban Outfitters Sale Picks

This week I spent some of my Christmas money on a few treats.  I headed over to the Urban Outfitters website where I was amazed to see up to 70% off.  I picked up a few treats for my house.  Here are some of the goodies I picked up.

Rug £5
I picked up a rug for my spare room/studio for just £5, the colour complements the room really well and I couldn't leave it on the online shelf for that price! They have a good selection of rugs left in the sale, a quick and cheap way of updating a room.

Glitter Storage Boxes £5
I picked up these glitter storage boxes for £5 too.  I have been looking for something to organise my make up in for a whole now and I was waiting for my next trip to Muji to look for some storage.  These stackable boxes are fab and they even come with added sparkle as the lid is full of iridescent glitter.  I all going to start a big clear out of my make up bag this weekend so I will post a blog later on.

WAH Nails Book £5

I picked up this WAH nails book as a gift for one of my friends who loves painting her nails and having a go at different designs.  I first heard of WAH nails when I worked next door to Amy from the NailLab when I had a shop in Mr Birds Emporium. Amy used to work for WAH in London and is now based at Bad Apple Hair in Sutton Coldfield and her designs are fantastic.  Take a look at her Instagram for information.

Have you picked up any good bargains in the sales?

Laura Loves ..... Eyelashes

Before going on a night out I always put on a set of False Eyelashes and I would like to share some of my favourite lashes with you.

I always use DUO glue, I bought my tube in MAC about a year ago and it is absolutely fantastic, gone are the days of eyelashes slipping and moving and believe me a little really does go a long way I have still got lots and lots left and it has been well used by me and my friends.

Duo Glue - Available from lots of retailers including MAC £10
Now on to the actual lashes, I don't know about you but I think they complete a look.  I tend to wear them mostly on night out but sometime I treat myself to individual lashes so I have a fuller look day and night.  I feel false eyelashes make my eyes stand out and open them up and I kind of feel lost without them!

I sometimes go to MAC and have my make-up done for £25 on special occasions and as you get the fee back in products I often treat myself to a pair of lashes.  At £10 they are more expensive than the other lashes I use but I usually get a number of wears out of each set.  My favourites are Number 12, I feel they suit me well as they are full without being over the top.

Eylure 107 Lashes

Another favourite of mine is Eylure 107 lashes which are available from Boots for £5.35 a set.  Boots also do a triple pack for £13.75 which works out better value if you are a lash fan like me!  Also Boots often have special offers on such as Buy One Get One Free which also makes them better value.

My last review is for the Girls Aloud range of eyelashes.  I have tried every set in this range as my sister bought my a gift set for Christmas a few years ago.  My personal favourite lashes are 'Nicola' and 'Cheryl'.  The lashes are also made by Eylure and I love them.  I recently discovered a set of 5 eyelashes in Home Bargains which are almost identical and they cost the same as one pair of the Girls Aloud range but on my last few visits to Home Bargains I have failed to find them.

Do you wear falsies? Which brand is your favourite? Do you have any recommendations for me to try? I would love to hear from you.

M.U.A Make Up Academy Make-Up

This afternoon I was browsing in the make-up section and stumbled upon the M.U.A make-up range they stock.  Superdrug currently have a fab 3 for 2 offer on all make-up in store and when I saw the items on sale for £1 each I thought why not!
Eyebrow Pencil, Eyeshadow Pots, M.U.A Make-up, Superdrug.

I love experimenting with make-up and I love having my make-up done professionally for special occasions, I recently had a MAC make-up lesson so I have become a bit more confident with applying make-up although liquid eyeliner is still a struggle!

I choose a eyebrow pencil in Brunette which is easy to apply and builds to a fairly dark colour to add definition, my eyebrows are very dark anyway so I will only use a little of this to add some definition.
L - Shade 20, R - Shade 19

I also selected five eyeshadows to add to my ever growing collection, I picked a mixture of colours to use to create a smokey eye effect and for day to day wear.  The eye shadows are quite easy to apply and loaded on the brushes easily.  I chose two matt colours, shades 19 and 20 perfect for the smokey eye look.

L - Shade 19, R - Shade 20

The three other shadows were from the Pearl range they are my favourite as they have a lovely shimmer and shine.

Back - Pearl Shade 1,  L - Pearl Shade 12,  R- Pearl Shade 11
I am really looking forward to testing these out properly this weekend, when I swatched the colours they applied easily and blended very well.

Pearl - Shade 1

As mentioned earlier all of the products were an amazing £1 and on offer on 3 for 2 so todays bundle only cost £4! I am going to go back this weekend to buy some more colours or maybe a palette which are priced at a very reasonable £4.  I am going to try some of the brighter colours in the range and possibly a lipstick or two too!

Have you tried anything from the M.U.A range? What are your thoughts?
